Over 10 years ago, after a few major lifestyle changes (heartbreak, sabbatical, job change) I decided to flip everything upside down and move across the globe. I had moved multiple times within the US and spent 6 months as a nanny in England but I had never packed my bags and moved on my own – and certainly not to a place I had to look up on a map to know where it was! I found (and got!) a job in the Maldives, drove across 10 states to leave my belongings in my mom’s basement, packed 2 suitcases and waved good-bye to the good ole’ USA.
I was lucky enough to meet the most wonderful man on this tiny speck of sand in the middle of the Indian Ocean and decided to travel the world with him. Our journey has taken us to Paris, Morocco and Portugal. After the first few moves I discovered that despite my career in the fitness industry I found it to be challenging to keep my personal commitment to wellness in the face of change and the unknown.
Exploring a new place is like a fabulous vacation; a break from routine that makes every day something special. But that little break can quickly lead to breaking good habits.
With this in mind, and my love of teaching and desire to share my passion for wellness I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and became a Certified Health Coach in 2015. I studied over 100 dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.
